  • Where is your farm located?
    Our farm is located at 2160 Limekilns Road, Limekilns NSW. We are a short 20 minute drive north of Bathurst and approximately 2.5 hours west of Sydney.
  • When does cherry picking start?
    Cherry picking starts once the cherries are ripe. This varies each year, but usually starts in early December. We announce our open dates every year via our Facebook and Instagram pages.
  • Do I need to book?
    YES! In order to provide a COVID safe visit for all our guests we require everyone to book their visit so that we can manage the number of guests on our farm. Its best to book the earliest day and time you can visit, to avoid disappointment. We often sell out much earlier than expected because we can't predict how many cherries will be sold each day.   • What facilities are available?
    Basic bathroom facilities (portable toilets). EFTPOS Parking
  • What varieties of cherries do you have?
    We have five different varieties. Bing Index Merchant Starkrimson Stella All our varieties are sweet and juicy. They range from large dark cherries, to lighter crisper cherries with a white fruit flesh. More information about our cherries varieties can be found on the Australian Cherries website. Unfortunately we don't grow sour cherries on our farm.
  • Is cherry picking suitable for children?
    Yes absolutely! Children are most welcome. Picking fruit is a great experience and our trees are just the right height for kids big and small.
  • What do we need to bring?
    We strongly recommend: Hats Sunscreen Covered Shoes Bag or buckets to pick cherries into and take home. Bottled water
  • How do I pick cherries?
    It's really very simple - but here are some tips. Find a tree with cherries, make sure to look under the leaves. Pick cherries with the stem on. Be gentle with branches. Please don't climb our trees. We have hooks for reaching high branches.
  • If your farm accessible for people with mobility challenges?
    Uneven ground is common in the orchard, driveway and parking area and as such unfortunately, accessing the orchard is not wheelchair or mobility aid friendly.
  • What is there to do nearby?
    Our farm is situated 20 minutes from Bathurst, which is home to World reknowned race track - Mount Panorama - usually you can drive around the race track at any time - for free. Great cafes and restaurants - our favourites are The Hub bistro,Annies Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlour, Jack Duggan's Irish Pub andDoppio Cafe. Excellent shops, museums and historical sites. Lovely parks and playgrounds. If you like art, history and or gold pannning and fossiking... we are also 20 minutes away from the historic village of Sofala, and 45 minutes from World Heritage listed Hill End village.
  • Are big groups welcome
    Yes, of course! As long as everyone is booked in - even over multiple bookings - large family and friend groups are most welcome. Cherry picking is a great activity for christmas parties.
  • Do you accommodate tour groups?
    Unfortunately we do not have the space to accommodate large tour coaches. Large family and friend groups coming in seperate vehicles are more than welcome as long as everyone in the group has a ticket.
  • Is your farm pet friendly?
    While we love our pets, for the comfort of our other guests we kindly request that pets stay at home.
